Information about the processing of personal data on pureions.de and pureions.com.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on pureions.de and pureions.com is:

pureions GmbH
Zeppelinstr. 16
82205 Gilching
Germany

Managing Director: Dr. Hartmut Schlichting
Email: info@pureions.de

No data protection officer has been appointed because, based on our current processing activities, the statutory requirements for appointment are not met.

2. Hosting and server logs

Our websites and email services are operated by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. STRATO processes data for us under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.

Whenever a website is accessed, the web server processes technically necessary access data. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested page or file, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system and HTTP status code.

The processing is necessary to provide the websites securely, reliably and without errors and to detect and prevent attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of our websites.

STRATO retains full IP addresses for no more than seven days to detect and defend against attacks. They are then deleted or anonymised. STRATO may retain anonymised log data for longer; we do not use it for audience measurement or to create usage profiles.

3. Backup copies

Where STRATO creates backup copies of hosting or email data as part of its standard technical mechanisms, those copies are automatically overwritten or deleted according to the standard cycle applicable to the relevant STRATO package. We do not operate a separate backup system. Early, targeted deletion of individual data from a backup copy is generally not technically possible; if a backup is restored, the stated deletion periods apply again.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide, in particular your email address, the content of your message and, where applicable, your name and other contact details, in order to respond to your enquiry.

If the enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the appropriate handling of your enquiry.

We delete the data once the enquiry has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligation or legitimate reason for further storage applies. If a message forms part of business or tax records that must be retained, the statutory retention periods apply.

5. Applications

If you apply to work with us, we process the application and contact data you provide solely to conduct the recruitment process. The legal basis is Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Application data is deleted when the recruitment process has ended. Only where further retention is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims do we generally retain it for no more than six months after the process ends. We do not operate an applicant or talent pool. No longer-term storage takes place.

6. Cookies, analytics and external content

Our websites do not set cookies and do not use analytics, marketing or tracking services. Fonts and media are not embedded from external third-party providers. No profiling takes place. A consent banner is therefore not required for the websites in their current form.

7. External links

Our websites contain links to external websites. Merely visiting our pages does not transfer data to their operators. Only when you click an external link does your browser connect to the relevant provider. The operator of the linked website is responsible for the subsequent processing of personal data.

8. Recipients and transfers

Within our company, personal data is accessible only to the functions that need it for the relevant purpose. As our processor, STRATO receives the data required for hosting and email operation. Other IT service providers are used only where necessary and subject to the statutory requirements.

We do not actively transfer personal data to countries outside the European Union or European Economic Area. External links lead to processing by the relevant provider only after you click them.

9. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and data portability (Article 20 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR).

To exercise your rights, please contact info@pureions.de.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:

Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA)
Promenade 18
91522 Ansbach
Germany
www.lda.bayern.de

11. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
